Arizona Job Training Funding Round Now Open for Businesses
Funding for workforce training up to $1.3 million per company is now available through the Arizona Job Training Program
Businesses in Arizona can now apply for up to $1.3 million in grants for eligible workforce development activities. Known as the Arizona Job Training Program, Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) has launched a competitive application round for new employee training grants.
Being on a competitive basis, businesses can apply for grants that directly support with the design and delivery of customized training plans for new employees. Under the program, employers can capture a reimbursement of up to 75% of eligible training expenses.
The maximum grant award under this new round is $1.3 million per employer. If a rural employer or a business with fewer than 100 employees, the per employee cap is set at $8,000. All other employers may capture up to $5,000 per employee.
Grants must be utilized by December 31, 2021. Application deadline for this new round is Monday, June 15, 2020.
