Trust But Verify – Site Selection Magazine Mar 2017
David Hickey, Senior Director, recently contributed to Site Selection Magazine. The article, Trust but Verify, discusses the practice of site certification. The practice, which is widely used across the United States, can provide site selectors and business owners with pre-certified sites that have been vetted against a rigorous process. Attributes of the process that sites must meet include price, availability of utilities, transportation options and environmental standing. These consistent standards of reviews and assessments give prospective buyers peace of mind.
Nevertheless, due diligence must be undertaken to ensure the site will be effective for a specific client/project. Certified site databases are valuable resource to site selectors, but businesses must still conduct due diligence on a site to ensure the location is optimal for the project.
