Next round of the California Competes Tax Credit program set to begin in March

The California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) will begin accepting applications for the 3rd round of the FY 2014-2015 California Competes Tax Credit Program on March 09, 2015. This is the last round of funding for FY 2014/15, and has been allocated $31.1 million, plus approximately $14 million in funds that were not awarded in Round 1 at the January 15th Committee Meeting. Depending on the final award amount of Round 2 FY 2014/15, there could be additional funds for Round 3. California GO-Biz Announces 2nd Round of FY 2014-2015 California Competes Tax Credit Program

The California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) announced today that it will begin accepting applications for the second round of the FY 2014-2015 California Competes Tax Credit. This is the second of three rounds of funding for FY 2014-2014 GO-Biz and is the program’s largest ever, with $75 million in credits being made available. Applications for this round will be accepted through 11:59 PM Pacific Time on February 2, 2015. David Hickey, H&A’s Senior Director of Europe, led a TED-style discussion on site selection dynamics in Eastern Europe at a conference in Riga, Latvia. The event, which was co-hosted by the National Outsourcing Association and the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia, focused primarily on outsourcing and shared services and was attended by key business leaders and government representatives from around Europe.
