ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a Senior Location Strategist to join our team in Chicago, IL! The Hickey Team works virtually and in collaborative offices. We request that you’re able to thrive in both environments. The Sr. Location Strategist will be client-facing and a key member of the firm’s global practice providing in-depth research, document development, correspondence, financial analyses, and other activities directly related to labor analytics, site selection, and public incentive capture process. This associate will discover, manage and analyze data from a variety of different sources and disciplines, including primary research, when required.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience working in an analytical capacity for economic development, investment promotion, commercial real estate, and/or government relations.

  • Degree in Geography, Surveying, Real Estate, Property Management, Business, Urban Planning, Political Science, and/or Finance preferred, or equivalent experience & education.

  • Additional education, accreditations, and a strong understanding of Corporate Real Estate, Economic Development, and Investment Promotion.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.

  •   Existing experience with ArcGIS, ESRI Business Analyst, PowerBI, Tableau, SAS, SPSS, R, Python, Common ETL toolsets, and similar tools considered a strong plus.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Must have excellent Excel skills and a strong financial acumen with good numerical and grammar skills

  • Must be a confident and articulate communicator, with client-facing experience

  • Responsible to manage communication with internal and external partners including corporate real estate brokers

  • Coordinate team response and organize additional resources as needed

  • Strong organization, analytical, attention to detail, prioritization, and communication skills.

  • Tracking & reporting prospect opportunities in a combination of systems including Excel, HubSpot, and SalesForce

  • A good team player, with a diligent and enthusiastic attitude

  • Excellent written, verbal, oral, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and within a Team.

  • Strong customer service focus.

  • Functional knowledge of a professional services environment.

  • Solid value and ethical approach with the capacity to handle proprietary and confidential information.

  • Aptitude to learn unfamiliar concepts and topics quickly.

  • Capable of providing solutions to multiple projects at any given time.

  • Efficiently learn and use internal/external software applications.

  • Bilingual skills a plus.
